Tree Health Management

Job description

Operations Scheduler/Dispatcher — Tree Health Management

Every tree company has a truck full of good intentions and a schedule that falls apart by 9am. We don't. We have a person who systematically handles that.

Here's what a Tuesday sometimes looks like. A Plant Health Care technician calls in sick and three properties are on a treatment window that can't slip. A storm knocked a limb onto a client's garage and now it's an emergency, which means something else just got bumped. A crew finishes a job two hours early and could take on more work today but only if someone catches it fast enough.

This role sees all of that, and still makes things work.

That's the role we're hiring for.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain the daily and weekly production schedule for tree care, plant health care, planting, and related field work
  • Match jobs to crews based on skill, equipment, location, and season — not just who's available
  • Communicate schedule changes clearly and fast, to crews and to management
  • Adjust in real time when weather, staffing, or equipment throws a wrench in the plan
  • Flag conflicts and staffing gaps before they become missed jobs
  • Keep the schedule accurate in company software and calendars, all day, every day

What We Expect

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to run your own area without hand-holding
  • Comfortable making decisions and solving scheduling problems as they come up — not escalating and waiting
  • Clear, professional communicator with both field crews and management
  • Able to hold crews accountable to the plan without needing to be asked twice
  • Proficient with email, calendars, spreadsheets, and office software
  • Previous scheduling, dispatch, or operations coordination experience strongly preferred
  • Tree care, landscaping, construction, or trades experience is a plus, not a requirement

If you need constant direction or lose track of details when things change fast, this role won't be a good fit.

Compensation: $26.00–$38.00/hour, based on experience. We'd rather negotiate with the right person than lowball the wrong one.

Tree Health Management is Wisconsin's leading arboriculture company — tree preservation, risk assessment, plant health care, inventories, diagnosis. Multiple crews, multiple disciplines, moving across south central Wisconsin every single day. None of it holds together without someone deciding who goes where, when, and with what.
