Job description

Injection Molding Operating Technician

We're looking for a skilled Injection Molding Operating Technician who takes pride in running equipment safely, solving problems quickly, and keeping production moving in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. If you have mechanical aptitude, molding experience, or a desire to grow into a technical role, this is a great opportunity to make an impact. Must be available to train on 1st shift for 3-6 months.

Compensation

Starting hourly rate: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

  • 2nd shift: +$0.50/hr.
  • 3rd shift: +$0.75/hr.

Work Schedule

  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday | 7 AM - 3 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday | 3 PM - 11 PM
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday | 11 PM - 7 AM

What You'll Do

  • Perform mold set‑up and removal; start, run, and troubleshoot injection molding equipment
  • Operate machines at or above standard rates while meeting quality specifications
  • Inspect machinery, equipment, and tooling for readiness before set‑up
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and housekeeping duties
  • Identify nonconforming materials/products and work with the Shift Leader for resolution
  • Lead troubleshooting and repair efforts to restore equipment performance
  • Assist the Process Engineer with new product and material development
  • Complete all shift documentation and communicate job status during shift hand‑off
  • Lead the production floor in the absence of the Shift Leader to maximize productivity
  • Follow GMP, SQF, and all established safety procedures

What You Bring

  • Injection molding experience preferred (but willing to train)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools
  • Experience with molding machines, robots, or related manufacturing equipment
  • Strong organization, time management, and computer skills
  • Ability to drive motorized vehicles including forklifts and elevated platforms
  • Ability to lift 10-50 lbs. and stand for long periods
  • A self‑starter mindset with the ability to work well with a variety of people
  • Team‑oriented mindset with solid communication and problem‑solving skills
