Mt. Olympus Resort in Wisconsin Dells Hiring 2nd Shift Front Desk and Phone Customer Service Associates

This position provides superior customer service beyond guest expectations. Front-desk employees are the first person customers speak to or interact with. Greeting and receiving guests and customer service is usually a common thread in all front-desk job descriptions. Responsibilities for a front-desk often include answering a multi-line phone system and greeting and directing guests, as well as staff. Duties include responding to guest inquiries, service issues and other general questions or concerns as appropriate.

Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00pm-11:00pm Weekends and holidays required; schedule may vary based on hotel occupancy and departmental needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Guest Services Supervisor and/or Guest Services/Resort Manager.
  • Assuring friendly, courteous and accurate check-in and check-out of room guests.
  • Handle high call volumes while maintaining accuracy and excellent customer service.
  • Perform other administrative or customer support tasks as assigned.
  • Competent knowledge of the property, local attractions, and current activities.
  • Promote friendly, courteous, superior customer service.
  • Taking room reservations and cancellations in a highly efficient and friendly manner while capturing all pertinent information.
  • Will be responsible for handling cash, credit and sales transactions.
  • Keep the front desk area and own station neat, tidy, and clean.
  • Monitor guest safety and service issues to provide the safest and most customer-oriented environment.
  • Understand safety and security procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve customer concerns.
  • Stay up to date on company products, services, promotions, and procedures.
  • Responsible for monitoring of room availability, maintenance, and housekeeping issues and communicating those to housekeeping in a timely and efficient manner.

Front Desk/Reservation Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D Equivalent Required
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work
  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply
  • Must always bring a smile to work.
  • Must be able to maintain and present a professional appearance at all times. Mt. Olympus's grooming and personal hygiene requirement is to wear the proper issued clean uniform and name badge.
  • A professional attitude is required at all times, handle pressure with poise and finesse.
  • Must be honest and dedicated.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and be trustworthy.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication.
  • Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.
  • Must possess excellent time management skills and be on time for work.
  • Must be a team player and able to provide superior customer service.
  • Must be able to work weekends and Holiday.
