Position Overview

KOR Building Group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our growing team in Las Vegas. This position requires a hands-on leader with extensive experience managing commercial construction projects from groundbreaking through completion.


The ideal candidate has successfully delivered ground-up commercial projects including retail strip centers, convenience stores, gas stations, and commercial tenant improvements (TI), including projects on the Las Vegas Strip. This individual must thrive in fast-paced environments, maintain exceptional quality standards, and have the ability to lead subcontractors and field personnel while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects.
  • Oversee and coordinate all subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and onsite personnel.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules and sequencing.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Lead safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Coordinate inspections with city officials, owners, architects, engineers, and third-party consultants.
  • Maintain project documentation, daily reports, and photo documentation.
  • Identify and proactively resolve construction issues to minimize schedule impacts.
  • Manage project punch lists and oversee project closeout activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all local building codes and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and company leadership to ensure project success.
  • Represent KOR Building Group professionally with owners, clients, inspectors, and subcontractors.


Required Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of Commercial Construction Superintendent experience.
  • Proven experience managing:
  • Ground-up retail strip centers
  • Convenience stores and gas stations
  • Commercial tenant improvements
  • High-profile projects on the Las Vegas Strip
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Commercial construction methods and sequencing
  • Structural, civil, and MEP systems
  • Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
  • Scheduling and coordination of multiple trades
  • Experience using construction management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.


Work Schedule Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to work:
  • Nights and overnight shifts when required
  • Weekends as needed to support project schedules
  • Flexible hours to accommodate client and project demands, particularly on Las Vegas Strip projects.


Licensing & Certifications Preferred

  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification preferred.
  • Nevada construction experience strongly preferred.


Background Requirements

Because many of our projects involve government facilities, airports, and high-security environments, candidates must:

  • Be eligible to obtain and maintain Department of Aviation (DOA) clearance and Green Badge access.
  • Pass pre-employment screening requirements.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk jobsites for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders, navigate uneven terrain, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
