About the Role

The Application & Database Support Analyst is responsible for supporting enterprise applications, SQL databases, and Windows server environments within a manufacturing organization. This role focuses on troubleshooting application and data-related issues, maintaining system reliability, supporting operational processes, and assisting with database and infrastructure administration activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting SQL Server environments, enterprise applications, and Windows server operations, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a production support environment.

What You'll Do

Application Support

  • Provide day-to-day support for enterprise applications including TCM (Workwise) and related business systems.
  • Troubleshoot applications, integration, and data-related issues.
  • Assist with software updates, data corrections, and operational support activities.
  • Monitor application functionality and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Support users and business operations by resolving application support tickets in a timely manner.

Database Support

  • Support Microsoft SQL Server environments including:
  • SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  • SQL Server Agent Jobs
  • Database permissions and monitoring

Backup and restore validation

  • Create and maintain SQL scripts for:
    • Data corrections
    • Insert/update operations
    • Troubleshooting and operational support
  • Assist with SQL replication monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Support SSRS, SSIS, and SQL-related maintenance activities.
  • Monitor database performance and assist with issue resolution.

Server & Infrastructure Support

  • Support Windows Server operations including:
    • Starting and stopping services
    • Reviewing event logs
    • Monitoring scheduled tasks and services
    • Resource monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Assist with IIS management and application monitoring.
  • Support remote access and RDP-related troubleshooting.
  • Utilize command-line tools for troubleshooting and support activities.

File & Data Management

  • Support ISAM table and file management activities.
  • Utilize Synergy RMS functionality and related utilities including:
    • Fconvert
    • ISLOAD
    • Cache rebuild utilities
  • Assist with key rebuilds and data integrity troubleshooting.

What We're Looking For

Technical Skills

  • Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments
  • Working knowledge of SQL scripting and query development
  • Experience with:
    • SSMS
    • SQL Server Jobs
    • Windows Server administration
    • Event log analysis
    • Command-line utilities
  • Understanding of database backup and restore processes
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications
