    ADMINISTER & OPTIMIZE  - IT'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
    • Maintain and optimize - Perform routine database maintenance tasks including backups, restores, query execution and performance tuning. Monitor database performance and tune databases to optimize efficiency. Support Infrastructure in routine maintenance and upgrading of database systems.
    • Support and troubleshoot - Provide timely support for database-related issues. Diagnose and resolve database errors and performance problems, and collaborate with developers to ensure database designs meet performance and security requirements.
    • Secure and protect - Help implement and enforce database security measures to protect sensitive data. Assist in ensuring databases comply with organizational policies and industry standards. Support the development and deployment of database changes and new applications.
    • Document and collaborate - Maintain detailed documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and operations. Generate reports on database performance, usage, and other metrics. Work closely with Database Administrators, Software Developers, IT Operations, and IT Security to support database-related initiatives.

      WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
      • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
      • 3-5 years of experience in database administration, support, and maintenance.
      • Proficient understanding of database management systems and SQL for database querying, optimization, and management tasks.
      • Hands-on experience with backup and recovery tools and techniques.
      • Ability to write and maintain scripts for automation tasks.
      • Experience with database migration and upgrade projects.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
      • Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
      • Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
