The Database Architect designs, builds, and manages an organization's data systems by creating blueprints and
models for new databases, ensuring data security, integrity, and performance, and establishing standards and
best practices for data storage and access. They work with various stakeholders to understand data needs and
design solutions that meet business goals, support applications, and ensure long-term scalability and
efficiency.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Design & Modeling: Create data models and blueprints for relational, NoSQL, and cloud-based databases to
meet organizational requirements.
• System Integration: Develop integrated data systems and ensure they work effectively with existing
infrastructure.
• Security & Integrity: Implement strategies and standards to protect data and maintain its accuracy and
consistency.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure databases operate efficiently, are scalable, and can handle growing data
volumes and user demands.
• Collaboration: Work with software developers, IT teams, and business leaders to align data strategies with
business objectives.
• Technology Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate database technologies and platforms.
• Policy & Standards: Establish policies, standards, and best practices for data management, operations, and
access.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 5 to 10 years of experience
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
• Database Management Systems (DBMS): Proficiency with various database systems.
• SQL: Strong knowledge of SQL for database querying and management.
• Cloud Technologies: Expertise in cloud-based data storage and management solutions.
• Data Modeling: Skill in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• System Design: Ability to design robust, scalable, and secure data architectures.

dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this
role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $200000.00.
