We are seeking a highly motivated Database Administrator (Management of USAF Interoperability Enhancement Tools)  for our USAF HQ ACC contract on Langley AFB, VA.  The Database Administrator shall maintain the database infrastructure and data repositories for USAF’s TDL Interoperability Enhancement Tools to include database maintenance and configuration management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise to support interoperability of USAF databases with the Joint Interoperability Enhancement Process (IEP).

 

  • Support the USAF in development of rules regarding direct access and use of USAF Interoperability Enhancement Tool databases.

 

  • Develop data sharing schemas for data contained in USAF Interoperability Enhancement Tool databases.

 

  • Provide operational and technical assistance to install and configure system specific server hardware and software to include Oracle 12c/18c/19c, Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2016/2019, Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019.

 

  • Install Microsoft Windows Server security patches and perform software/firmware updates as required to supplement automated updates.

 

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems and deficiencies requiring maintenance on USAF Interoperability Enhancement Tools.

 

  • Apply Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) to USAF Interoperability Enhancement Tool databases and servers.

 

  • The contractor shall be responsible for funding and maintaining any required commercial information technology and computer/computer systems-related certifications and training (e.g., Security +) required to meet this task and subtasks.

 

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a technical field (such as engineering, computer science, information systems management, etc.).
  • Three (3) years of experience (within the last 10 years) of Structured Query Language (SQL), Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), Metadata/Data Modeling, eXtensible Markup Language (XML), XML Schema (XSD), Web Services Description Language (WSDL), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Unified Modeling Language (UML), and XQuery.
  • Two (2) years of experience (within last 10 years) with Microsoft SQL Server and implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
  • Three (3) years of experience (within the last 10 years) working with Microsoft Server 2016/2019 operating system administration.
  • Secret Clearance

  • Five (5) years of experience (within the last 10 years) of Structured Query Language (SQL), Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), Metadata/Data Modeling, XML, XML Schema (XSD), Web Services Description Language (WSDL), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Unified Modeling Language (UML), and XQuery.
  • Five (5) years of demonstrated technical experience (within past 10 years) to organize/manage comprehensive database projects and all applicable data.
  • Two (2) years of experience (within past 7 years) with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Five (5) years of experience (within the last 10 years) working with Microsoft Server 2016/2019 operating system administration.
  • Secret Clearance

Schedule

  • Core hours are from 0800-1700 M-F - you can work with your customer leadership to set hours
  • You can flex time during the 2 week pay cycle - avoid using PTO for appointments
  • A compressed work schedule may be available at the discretion of work center leadership (i.e. 4/10 or 9/80)
