Job description

Ziegler CAT is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst who is responsible for interpretation and execution of data visualization through the use of Power BI for different divisions of the Ziegler business. The role focuses on working with different divisions to create the most effective and efficient reporting and analytics to help Ziegler succeed in maximizing our customer's uptime. Additional duties will include exploration of additional data sources from outside of Ziegler to enable continued market research and exploration. This position will work on-premise at our Bloomington, MN corporate office.

Responsibilities:

  • Data visualization using Power BI

  • Collaborating with team members for the purpose of collecting data and executing the company's mission

  • Creating and maintaining documentation that includes the design, requirements and user manuals for the organization

  • Identifying the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability

  • Gathers business intelligence from a variety of sources including company data, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources

  • Offer insight into the best way to visualize information within Power BI to be the most impactful

  • Compiles business intelligence or trends to support actionable recommendations

  • Design new data collection models to better collect information

  • Coordinate with IT department to implement new models

  • Perform data profiling to identify anomalies

  • Consulting with management and relevant stakeholders to define goals

  • Coach others in the use of Power BI and business intelligence best practices

Requirements:

  • 4 year degree in Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or Computer Science required

  • 2+ years of data visualization (Power BI/Tableau) experience required

  • Data extraction and analysis tools experience

  • SQL experience

  • SSRS and SSAS experience helpful

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • Experience with Power Query M language, and Power BI

  • Ability to collect and compile relevant data

  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail

  • Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically

  • Strong business analysis skills

  • Works well independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools

  • Self-driven and able to find improvements to workflows

  • Flexibility to work with different departments and different processes

The pay range for this position is

$82,300.00 to $102,900.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
