Job description

Job Summary
Under the direction of the department administrator(s), the Special Education Secretary/Translator/Interpreter performs a variety of clerical duties, translation and interpretation consecutively or simultaneously from English to Spanish and Spanish to English; translates documents and forms; does a wide variety of complex statistical record-keeping, data entry and technical clerical work of more than average difficulty, some of which may require taking and transcribing meeting notes; received and assists district employees, parents and the public; and performs other job related duties as assigned by supervisor. Maintains inventory of Special Education testing materials and curriculum, inputs students information in the district's school information system (SIS) and related Special Education Information Systems.
