$21 - $28/hr

Per diem

Job description

Location: Tulsa, OK

Start Date: Sunday, August 2

Duration: 8 weeks

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday

Pay: $21–$28/hr DOE

Travel/Per Diem: Not available — local candidates only

We're looking for 2 Data Technicians to join an 8-week remodel project starting August 2 in Tulsa, OK. The work is hands-on structured cabling — Cat5e pulls, terminations, and bringing store systems up on the network. This is a great fit for techs who take pride in clean work, show up consistently, and want a steady 8-week run.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pull Cat5e cable throughout the store

  • Terminate cables at jacks and patch panels

  • Punch down cables on patch panels and blocks

  • Bring up devices on the network — registers, PCs, APs, printers, and phones

  • Troubleshoot connectivity and verify devices are online

  • Route and dress cable cleanly through ceilings, j-hooks, and trays

  • Follow site plans, cable schedules, and labeling standards

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Follow all site safety protocols and PPE requirements

  • Communicate progress and issues to the site lead

Required Qualifications
  • 1+ years of structured cabling experience

  • Hands-on experience with Cat5e pulls, terminations, and patch panel punch-downs

  • Ability to follow site plans and cable schedules

  • Local to the Tulsa area with reliable transportation

  • Strong attendance — excessive absences will result in replacement

  • Able to pass a background check and drug screen

  • Comfortable working on ladders and lifts

  • Able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for a full shift

Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail remodel or new construction cabling experience

  • BICSI, CommScope, or OSHA 30 certifications

  • Experience with fiber terminations

  • Familiarity with testing equipment (Fluke or equivalent)

Required PPE (You Provide - No logos)
  • Class E rated hard hat

  • Safety-toed boots

  • Safety glasses

  • Hi-vis vest or shirt

Compensation and Benefits
  • $21–$28/hr DOE

  • 40+ hours per week, OT paid at time and a half

  • Weekly pay

  • 8 weeks of steady work, Monday through Friday

  • No travel — work close to home

Why This Role

This is straightforward, steady work for a tech who wants to put their head down and run cable for 8 weeks. The schedule is consistent, the scope is clear, and you'll be home every night. If you've got Cat5e and patch panel experience, show up on time, and do good work, there's a strong chance of being kept in mind for future projects.
