Enterprise Data Platform Technical Lead / Senior Developer
Remote Role
100% Remote, W2 Contract
Compensation: $80-$90/hr. | $160,000-$180,000 per year

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Brooksource consultant, you will serve as the Enterprise Data Platform Technical Lead / Senior Developer, working directly with our client as a W2 employee on a full-time, 40-hour work week. This 100% remote contract role offers comprehensive benefits (health, vision, dental), paid holidays, and sick time accrual. Upon potential FTE conversion, the client’s benefits package will apply.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Build and support enterprise-scale data pipelines in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Ingest data from on-premises and cloud-based source systems into BigQuery using medallion architecture
  • Develop and maintain solutions utilizing Dataflow, Dataform, Terraform, and SQL
  • Support CI/CD pipeline automation and governed data delivery processes
  • Contribute to platform initiatives to enhance data readiness for AI use cases
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to development team members
  • Remain hands-on in development while leading technical direction (approx. 50/50 split)
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on data modeling, solution design, and delivery execution
  • Troubleshoot and unblock developers to ensure timely and accurate solution delivery
  • Ensure solutions are implemented according to architectural plans and best practices
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery
  • Proficiency in Dataflow, Dataform, Terraform, and SQL
  • Demonstrated expertise in data modeling and building enterprise-scale data pipelines
  • Direct experience developing and supporting data ingestion from both on-premises and cloud sources
  • Ability to provide technical oversight while remaining hands-on (50% development / 50% leadership)
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipeline automation and governed data delivery
  • Proven ability to partner with engineering teams on solution design and delivery execution
  • Track record of building solutions directly in the stack, not just at the architectural level
  • Ability to discuss implementation details and past delivery experience concretely
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced, technically rigorous environments
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to mentor and unblock developers
