Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
  • The Seasonal Admissions Data Processor will process freshman admission applications for Undergraduate Admissions. Processing includes data entry, grade point computations, and some course research.

  • This is a part-time remote temporary position from early September through early February. The appointment may end earlier if processing goals are satisfied ahead of schedule. Seasonal Data Processors are expected to work at least 20 hours per week. Additional hours may be available during peak application periods. Total weekly hours are contingent upon application volume and departmental needs.

  • Pay is $22/hour and benefits are not included. The position will be remote-based and reliable home internet is required.

  • There are four vacancies for this position.


Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience is required. Successful applicants should possess strong typing skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and have good communication skills. They should also demonstrate a willingness to learn enrollment management software applications (Slate) and use web-based conferencing technology like Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

  • Data Processors should be able to work independently after a training period and as a member of a larger team. Qualified applicants must be able to think critically and quickly and keep both student information and internal office practices confidential.

  • To avoid potential conflicts of interest, applicants may not be the parent, guardian, or immediate family member of a high school student in grades 11-12 who is planning to apply to college (regardless of interest in USC specifically). Exceptions may be made for previous employees. Readers may not be employed by another university or high school, nor be employed independently or with an organization that provides personal college counseling.
