Join Michels as an HR Manager - HR Systems and take ownership of the Workday experience that powers our people operations. In this role, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for managing all Workday functionality, enhancements, and HR support tickets, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our HR partners and employees across the organization. You'll drive continuous improvement, optimize system capabilities, and serve as the strategic bridge between HR and technology-helping scale our processes to support a growing, nationwide workforce.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the organization's Workday platform, ensuring alignment with HR and business priorities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the HR Systems team responsible for Workday administration, configuration, enhancements, and end-user support.
  • Oversee the intake, prioritization, and resolution of HR systems support tickets while maintaining service level expectations.
  • Manage the planning, testing, and deployment of Workday biannual releases, new functionality, and system enhancements.
  • Oversee Workday security roles, business processes, integrations, and reporting capabilities.
  • Lead system implementation projects, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives from planning through execution.

What it takes:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (preference to HR) or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources Systems (HRIS) experience, including significant experience administering Workday.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing HR Systems or HRIS teams.
  • Deep knowledge of Workday HCM, including business processes, security, reporting, and system configuration.
  • Experience supporting multiple Workday functional areas such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Learning, or Absence Management.
  • Experience leading Workday implementations, enhancements, or optimization initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of HR operations and best practices.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience creating reports, dashboards, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization preferred.
