Description


Envision Innovative Solutions is a trusted technology and engineering partner delivering mission critical capabilities to government and commercial clients. Founded in 2006, we specialize in cybersecurity, information assurance, systems engineering, enterprise IT and network support, C5ISR, and software development, with internal R&D in extended reality (XR)-including VR, AR, and MR-for training and simulation.

Envision is seeking a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to join our team in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administers, develops, runs tests on, implements, and maintains operating systems and related software.
  • Establishes and implements standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves software, operating system, and networking problems.
  • Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and, when necessary, performs data recoveries.
  • Recommends hardware and software upgrades according to growth statistics and disk space forecasts.
  • Schedules, plans, and performs system upgrades, including coordinating the transition from test to production environments.
  • Schedules tasks using software support tools and scripts.
  • Configures hardware, such as workstations, printers, servers, and tape devices.
  • Provides technical support for system users.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration
  • Strong ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot operating systems, hardware, and network systems
  • Experience performing system backups, upgrades, and providing technical support to users

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field

Secuirty Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret / Top Secret Preferred.
