Job description

Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company is seeking Journeyman Systems Administrator in Patuxent River, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuration, deployment and maintaining Windows servers, Windows 11 desktop systems, Network infrastructure and compliance with information assurance requirements. Candidate will create and maintain lab test and development environments. Candidate will support 75 users / 125 computer assets / printers / network connectivity in the building.
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $90k-$120k annually (depending on experience)
Work Location: Full-time onsite (see onsite requirements below)
**On-site Requirements: This position is not eligible for reoccurring telework, and will require an onsite presence at Patuxent River NAS for greater than or equal to 90% of the work week.
Essential Functions:
  • Perform ACAS / SCAPs on machines to look for vulnerabilities and apply patches to remediate.
  • Build, Maintain and harden workstations and laptops.
  • Upgrade and configure data systems, administer operating systems, and maintain basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups.
  • Responsible for gathering all information (drawing, hardware/software list, PAA's, etc for submittal to the ISSO for an ATO on EMASS ID 12900 and EMASS ID 3699
  • Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
  • Administer network security measures.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years system administration experience
  • Experience with ACAS
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Knowledgeable / proficient in the use of Microsoft operating systems
  • Troubleshoot tier 1 support issues
  • Ability to manage / maintain various types of servers and security requirements
  • Security conscious in all aspects
  • Resourceful / problem solving skills
  • Works independently
  • Self-starter
  • Organized
  • Detail oriented
  • BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience, OR AA/AS degree and 5 years related experience, OR HS and 7 years related experience.

Security Clearance:
Active Top Secret required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
