Data Strategy ConsultantIntroduction:

This position involves supporting the design and development of a statewide financial data strategy and implementation roadmap. The Data Strategy Consultant will play a key role in data discovery, assessment, profiling, and analysis to ensure successful implementation of the strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the design and development of a statewide financial data strategy and implementation roadmap
  • Engage stakeholders to gather current state information, organizational data needs, and project progress awareness
  • Participate in data discovery and assessment activities to determine data quality, capabilities, and implications on operations
  • Support data profiling activities and interpret results
  • Prepare and complete workshops with business and technical leaders
  • Analyze organizational readiness factors for strategy implementation
  • Document data strategy, roadmap, and implementation activities
Requirements:Required Skills:
  • University Degree and minimum of Three (3) years of experience
  • Data management experience across the data lifecycle
  • Experience with financial data and key accounting functions
  • Ability to obtain clearance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hands-on experience in developing data strategies
  • Proficiency in facilitating requirements gathering
  • Knowledge of data governance concepts and practices
Preferred Skills:
  • Hands-on experience implementing data strategies
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent certification
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software systems
  • Experience with financial data modeling, data migration, and data architecture
