Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Warehouse Analyst / Power BI Report Developer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-level business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Snowflake.

This role will focus on developing high-performing Power BI semantic models, dashboards, analytical reports, and paginated reports while leveraging advanced DAX and SQL to deliver reliable, actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star schema design, Snowflake architecture, and Power BI performance optimization.


The Analyst will work closely with data engineers, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Power BI semantic models, dataflows, dashboards, and analytical reports using dimensional modeling and star schema best practices.
  • Develop advanced DAX measures, calculations, and analytical logic to support enterprise reporting requirements.
  • Build intuitive, user-friendly, and high-performance Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Develop and maintain paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder.
  • Write, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries, including CTEs, window functions, and analytical queries.
  • Work with Snowflake datasets to optimize query performance, compute utilization, warehouse sizing, and overall cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure fact and dimension tables are properly structured and optimized for Power BI consumption.
  • Integrate Power BI with Snowflake using appropriate connection modes and ensure reliable, efficient data retrieval.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues across Power BI, DAX, SQL, and Snowflake.
  • Maintain metadata, data lineage, report specifications, and technical documentation to support data governance and long-term maintainability.
  • Support Power BI workspace management and reporting environments.
  • Translate business requirements into structured semantic models and actionable reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and recommend effective BI solutions.
  • Support the embedding of Power BI reports into web or internal applications.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes, data models, and analytics solutions.


Required Qualifications


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of IT experience working with business intelligence tools and systems.
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise-level Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and analytical solutions.
