Data Protection Administrator/Storage Administrator (West Trenton, NJ)
New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company seeks a Data Protection Administrator/Storage Administrator (West Trenton, NJ) to install, configure, and perform daily management of the storage and data protection solutions. Design and test data recovery in simulated disaster recovery and malware related events. Install, configure, and perform daily operational management of the storage environment. Install, configure, and perform daily management of fiber channel storage area networks. Perform capacity management and end-to-end performance monitoring of the managed environments. Maintain, upgrade, and manage the lifecycles of the storage and data protection hardware/software. Local telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Must participate in a 7-day on call rotation and occasional weekend work.
SALARY RANGE: $120,000 - $132,700 per year
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 5 years of experience in configuring and managing enterprise storage and data protection technologies, including NAS (EMC Isilon and AWS FSx), object storage (AWS S3), block storage (EMC Unity, EMC VNXe, and PURE X-series), storage networking (Cisco MDS, DCNM, and NDFC), and backup solutions (Commvault, N2WS CPM, AWS Backup, and AWS Data Sync). Must have experience with: Integrating storage and backup solutions with multiple operating systems including MS Windows, Linux, VMware and AWS EC2; Troubleshooting complex issues in storage, platform, network and data protection applications; Configuring and managing backup and data protection technologies; Designing and testing data recovery in simulated disaster recovery and malware related events; Taking storage and data protection solutions from concepts and design, building and validating functionality; Lifecycle management of storage devices, software and related peripherals; Evaluating and applying operating system updates, firmware updates and security patches; and Working with third party vendors to accomplish lifecycle and maintenance tasks. Must participate in a 7-day on call rotation and occasional weekend work.
