Job description

Primary Purpose:

SQFI operates a global food safety certification program supported by interconnected data systems, enterprise applications, and third-party integrations. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, integrity, and operational effectiveness of SQFI’s systems and data while delivering assigned projects on time and with high quality.

The Manager, SQFI Systems & Data Operations serves as a hands-on operational leader who owns execution, delivers solutions to secure operational goals, supports integrations and safeguards data accuracy and integrity across systems, and drives resolution of system and process issues in partnership with internal teams, customers, and external vendors. The Manager will also contribute to customer engagement workflow.

Essential Job Functions:

System & Data Integrity

  • Ensure and validate data integrity and accuracy across existing and future SQFI systems through proactive monitoring, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency of data exchanged between internal platforms, third-party systems, and reporting environments.
  • Independently troubleshoot production issues and drive timely resolution with minimal supervision.


Project Execution & Delivery Ownership

  • Own execution of assigned projects and system enhancements, including timelines, QA validation, stakeholder communication, and delivery readiness.
  • Manage assigned workstreams, track milestones, communicate risks early, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Perform quality assurance testing for all projects to confirm solutions meet documented functional and business requirements prior to release.

Reporting, Analysis & Documentation

  • Create data models (e.g., using Excel or Power BI, HubSpot, Tableau, etc.), dashboards and operational reports in various platforms that communicates key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, solutions, opportunities and risks to leadership.
  • Develop clear, executive reports, status updates and presentations to support informed decision-making and that tell a data-driven story to facilitate the decision-making process.
  • Create and oversee the development of user guides, training materials, and process documentation for supported systems.


Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison between SQFI teams, customers, and external vendors for assigned systems and initiatives.
  • Ensure all third-party vendor agreements are adhered to and work is performed in a timely manner and based on requirements outlined in all agreements.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables align with contractual requirements, timelines, and quality expectations.
  • Escalate risks strategically and provide recommended solutions to leadership when issues arise.


Operational Support & Team Enablement

  • Provide structured support to customer service and global SQFI teams related to system functionality, troubleshooting, and workflow questions. This may include answering calls, responding to emails, trouble shooting, handling requests, etc.
  • Train internal or external users on new features, process updates, and system best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes, data quality controls, and user adoption.

Other Job Functions:

  • Provide project management support for projects to successful completion.
