Job description

The Audit Manager of Market Data Compliance and Assurance is essential to the global governance of CME Group's commercial Data Services business. The role will be responsible for the execution of market data audits spanning CME Group's diverse customer base to ensure market data and derived data policies are being adhered to and that use of intellectual property is correctly licensed to and reported by customers globally.
The successful candidate will warrant CME Group market data is used in accordance with existing vendor and customer agreements, and grow customer understanding of managing CME Group market data effectively. The role will deploy and develop best practice guidelines in the conduct of customer audits. The successful candidate should have a strong working knowledge of conducting both on-site and remote audits of major financial institutions and information/software vendors.

What You'll Do
• Execute a program of customer compliance and auditing to protect CME Group's intellectual property, minimize revenue leakage and optimize revenue recovery
• Effectively research and prepare for customer audits, collating all of the appropriate materials to inform the audit visit
• Communicate with audited firms to clearly articulate expected collaboration, materials required and to manage both expectations and timeframes efficiently. and commercial policy/licensing opportunities
• Perform on-site market data audits, analyzing all applications and systems related to market data consumption, investigating and analyzing inventory management and permissioning systems to ensure CME has a comprehensive and complete overview of a firm's market data consumption
• Provide clear written and verbal insight and analysis of findings to auditee and Data Services' leadership, with analysis of findings and recommendations on future customer compliance focus and any financial liability found
• Work with and develop relationships with team members, internal CME Group stakeholders, and external customers on a global basis to promote and support compliance with policies and ensure effective audit processes with minimum disruption to customers
What You'll Bring
• 6 - 10 years demonstrable experience in market data audit or market data management, with experience of conducting on-site and remote market data audits
• Strong knowledge of financial exchanges' (equities or F&O), index providers' or information vendors' real time, end of day and derived data policies
• Substantial experience in negotiating and settling audit claims resulting from identification of non-compliance with data usage policies
• Knowledge of data consumer and data vendor firms globally, including (but not limited to) major and niche information vendors, investment banks, online trading platforms, high frequency and proprietary trading firms
• Development and maintenance of good customer relationships
• Proven background in analyzing, designing and implementing processes and policies to improve efficiencies and achieve desired objectives with a strong bias towards continuous improvement
• Financial Information Associate (FIA) certification or CPA welcomed
• Knowledge of vendor and third party application providers' products and market data systems management/permissioning systems (LSEG DACS, Wombat, Bloomberg B-Pipe, etc.)
• Knowledge of third party market data inventory management systems (MDM, InfoMatch etc.)
• Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on high degree of proficiency in Excel including the use of financial formulas, data analysis and pivot table features is a must.
• Proficiency in Salesforce helpful
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Information Systems; a Master's degree (MBA or MS) is preferred.
