Overview

Cotiviti is looking for a manager who will oversee daily operations of data pipelines, ETL processes, and system integrations to ensure data quality, integrity, and timely delivery to stakeholders. This role will help develop and implement data management policies, manage and mentor staff, collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements, and manage budgets, resources, and project risks. The manager will also drive continuous improvement, monitor operational metrics, and report findings to senior leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily data operations, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and system integrations.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, security, compliance and adherence to operational standards.
  • Deliver accurate and timely data to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define and implement data management policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and career development.
  • Set clear priorities, assign work, and manage team capacity to meet operational commitments.
  • Maintain focus on results, remove obstacles, and drive execution against priorities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress, risks and outcomes.
  • Monitor data systems performance and resolve operational issues proactively.
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive action planning.
  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and status reports; manage risks and dependencies.
  • Define, track, and report operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). Report on data operations status and metrics to senior leadership.
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement. Translate operational insights into actionable improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes in process and data tools.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and vendors, where applicable.
  • Maintain clear and current documentation for data processes and procedures.
  • Analyze complex issues, determine root causes, and make timely, high-quality decisions.
  • Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that can assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of experience in Data Operations, IT Operations or related role
  • 3+ years of team management, supervisory experience or project leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of data pipelines, ETL, database systems, and data integration
  • Experience with Hadoop, Spark, ETL tools, orchestration tools or similar modern data platforms and tools
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, logging systems, and incident management
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Ability to think both tactically and strategically
  • Ability to organize and direct resources to meet short- and long-term goals
  • Ability to maintain comprehensive knowledge of interface and process details
  • Ability to allocate and manage operational tasks across team resources in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to incrementally improve operational processes over time
  • Ability to manage processes, team and stakeholder relationships throughout multiple offices (both US and abroad)
  • Highly structured approach to technical troubleshooting and problem solving while working under pressure

Base compensation ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
