POSITION DETAILS

Addictions Recovery Center, Inc. (ARC) in Medford, Oregon, is a trauma-informed behavioral health agency committed to supporting individuals on their path to recovery through compassionate, community-based care.

We are currently seeking a Certified Recovery Mentor (ACCESS Navigator) to join our team in a unique offsite role embedded within ACCESS supportive housing programs, which repurpose former hotels to house individuals recently experiencing housing instability or chronic houselessness. This position plays a critical role in helping residents stabilize, access services, and sustain long-term recovery and wellness.

As a peer with lived experience, the CRM ACCESS Navigator will serve as a trusted mentor and resource connector, working collaboratively with ACCESS housing staff, ARC clinical teams, and community partners. The successful candidate will bring empathy, professionalism, and the ability to engage meaningfully with individuals, navigating complex challenges related to trauma, addiction, mental health, and homelessness.

Occasional on-call availability required: The successful candidate may be required to be available for on-call duties during evenings, weekends, or holidays on an occasional basis to address urgent matters or emergencies.

Education, Credentials and Skills should include:

· Valid CRM (Certified Recovery Mentor) or PSS (Peer Support Specialist) certification required.

· CADC-R certification preferred.

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Valid Oregon Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and a safe driving record required.

· Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).

· Strong ability to work autonomously while collaborating with DHS case workers and ARC supervisors.

· Experience working with houseless, high-risk, or marginalized individuals preferred

· Strong interpersonal skills and trauma-informed communication style

· Ability to collaborate in team-based settings while working independently in the field

· Familiarity with community resources and housing systems

· Documentation skills and experience with EHR systems preferred

· Valid Oregon Driver’s License and current automobile insurance

· Spanish bilingual preferred

  Key Responsibilities Include:

· Conduct strengths-based outreach, engagement, and peer mentoring at designated ACCESS housing sites

· Share lived recovery experience to build trust, inspire hope, and encourage personal growth

· Provide education, coaching, and resource navigation on topics such as:

o Wellness and recovery planningo Daily living skills (budgeting, hygiene, organization)o Healthcare access, benefits, housing, and employmento Trauma recovery and emotional self-regulationo Community connection and self-advocacy

· Assist residents with service access and system navigation, including completing forms, attending appointments, and connecting with treatment or peer support services

·  Collaborate closely with ARC clinicians and ACCESS case managers to support individualized housing and wellness plans

· Participate in on-site multidisciplinary team meetings and advocate for resident needs

· Respond to crises with calm, trauma-informed support and de-escalation techniques

· Track caseload activity, document interactions, and maintain HIPAA-compliant records in ARC and partner systems

· Maintain regular communication with ARC supervisors and attend required team meetings and trainings

Work Environment & Expectations

The CRM (ACCESS Navigator) is based offsite at ACCESS-operated transitional and permanent supportive housing locations. This field-based role requires professional independence, emotional resilience, and the ability to navigate non-clinical, high-stress environments. The successful candidate will:

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation and benefits include:

· Most ARC employees are scheduled four-days a week to support their ability to maintain a healthy work and life balance; medical and sobering positions are scheduled to work three days a week

· Starting wage $26.57 – $30.56 per hour, depending on credentials, skills, and experience.

· Three (3) to six (6) weeks of Vacation accrued per year, based upon years of service

· Sick time is accrued for all employees based on regularly scheduled hours

· Ten (10) Paid Holidays each year: New Year’s, MLK Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
