Job description

Overview
We are seeking a full-time Aeronautical Data Librarian 1 onsite at Garmin's office in St. Louis, MO. In this role, you will help maintain and organize aviation-related data and documents by researching source materials, updating and managing records, and ensuring the data is accurate and up to date.
The anticipated start date for this position is 7/20/2026.
Essential Functions
  • Configure files, data, tools, documents and procedures and all QA activity such as periodic forms, closed problem reports and meeting minutes
  • Research and download specific aeronautical sources
  • Configure and update company manuals in compliance with FAA AC 20-153/ RTCA DO-200A
  • Maintain familiarity with the company's Problem Report System and the ability to draft a problem report when needed
  • Operate within the configuration system as well as the Source Library to ensure compliance with the LOA and the company's procedures and manuals; if an error or deviation from those standards is found, promptly notify and consult with the Aeronautical Data Librarian Team Leader regarding action
  • Receive and track all aeronautical data made available to the company and to ensure that data cannot be altered once it has been received into the library
  • Assign a unique identification number to each new and changed data item
  • Document and disseminate all active and archived data and notify affected associates when a new version of any configured item becomes available to use
  • Process and record all company manual updates including securing and confirming authorized signatures and approval dates, prior to final storage of the document
  • Perform insert/destroy and page checks on all active AIP's
  • Create and maintain all procedure packets for incoming source
  • Assist with acquiring and maintaining the company's AIP subscriptions

Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree OR equivalent releant experience
  • Minimum of 1 year industry experience in a professional sector
  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheet programs and other relevant software
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong time management/collaboration skills
  • Experienced in prioritizing, gathering and monitoring information

  • Administrative assistant experience
