Job description

Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly experienced Manager, Asset Data Integrity, to lead project management efforts ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of solar system asset data across the operating fleet. This role serves as the critical bridge between asset sellers and the asset management company, Qcells Service Solutions, rigorously validating and reconciling data received from sellers to achieve clear, error-free onboarding into our fleet management systems. The position also oversees production validation testing post-handover, resolves ongoing operational data discrepancies, and maintains high-integrity datasets for performance monitoring, financial reporting, contract compliance, and fleet optimization.
Key Responsibilities
  • On a day-to-day basis, manage and collaborate closely on all data-related priorities for the solar fleet portfolio.
  • Lead project management for data integrity from asset sellers, including detailed review, validation, and reconciliation of handover data packages (e.g., as-built drawings, equipment specs, solar project design configurations, meter calibrations, performance test results, and contractual guarantees).
  • Drive clean onboarding of solar projects into the fleet/asset management platform by identifying, documenting, and resolving discrepancies between seller-provided data and actual installed/operational conditions.
  • Manage production validation testing and post-commissioning data checks to confirm accurate energy output, availability, performance ratios, and other key metrics align with expectations and seller representations.
  • Investigate and resolve operational asset data issues arising in the fleet, including inconsistencies in product data, O&M records, monitoring feeds, irradiance corrections, and other datasets impacting fleet performance and reporting.
  • Partner with O&M teams and internal fleet stakeholders to enforce data standards, resolve upstream issues, and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and implement robust data quality controls, validation rules, reconciliation workflows, and audit processes to ensure ongoing integrity of fleet-wide solar asset data.
  • Perform in-depth root-cause analysis on data anomalies (getting "into the weeds" with raw logs, configuration files, and time-series data) and drive corrective actions with sellers or internal teams as needed.
  • Prepare status reports, dashboards, issue trackers, and executive summaries on data integrity progress, onboarding status, and fleet data health for the Fleet Asset Manager and senior leadership.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data handover processes from sellers to enhance future fleet onboarding efficiency and reduce risk.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related), Data Science, or a closely related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in the solar industry, with direct involvement in solar project development, construction handover, operations, asset transitions, or fleet/asset management.
  • Strong expertise in solar asset data, including performance metrics equipment specifications (modules, inverters, trackers), Monitoring systems, and production validation processes.
  • Proven project management experience leading data validation, onboarding, or integrity initiatives, ideally in contexts involving seller-to-operator transitions.
  • Exceptional ability to dive deep into technical details - reviewing raw datasets, meter logs, test reports, and configurations to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills with a track record of identifying and fixing complex data discrepancies.
  • Travel may be required up to 10%, depending on business needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to interface effectively with asset sellers, internal fleet teams, and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (Master's) in a relevant technical or data-focused field.
  • Proficiency with data tools (advanced Excel, SQL, Python/R preferred) and solar monitoring platforms (e.g., SCADA systems, Power Factors, AlsoEnergy, or equivalent).
  • Direct experience with utility-scale or distributed solar asset handovers from developers/sellers to asset management/fleet operations.
  • Knowledge of solar fleet data governance, ETL processes, or quality assurance frameworks in renewables.
  • Familiarity with contractual aspects of asset sales/handovers (e.g., performance guarantees, data warranties in PPAs or O&M agreements).
