Job Description

You will be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity and continuous improvement of core business data domains. The role combines ownership of daily data operations, including MDM data supply and issue management, with leadership of data outcomes across change initiatives to ensure data is accurate, controlled, and fit for purpose across the enterprise.

  • Own the daily operation of the MDM platform, including data ingestion, processing, and controlled execution of the data diffing and reconciliation process to ensure accurate and timely data supply.
  • Lead the end-to-end management of data requests through Jira Service Management, ensuring effective prioritisation, resolution, root cause linkage, and reduction of recurring issues.
  • Take accountability for data integrity across domains, ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and aligned to business, regulatory, and operational requirements.
  • Manage data quality measurement, including definition of rules, monitoring of key quality dimensions, and tracking of metrics such as exception rates, resolution times, data health trends, and overall control effectiveness.
  • Drive performance against key operational targets, including achieving a zero-diff position, reducing ticket backlog, and improving data quality metrics across domains.
  • Lead root cause analysis of data issues and implement sustainable remediation actions that address systemic failures and improve data quality at source.
  • Lead the delivery of data requirements within projects and change initiatives, ensuring data integrity controls, lineage, quality rules, and documentation are fully implemented.
  • Define and embed data standards and control requirements within MDM processes, data quality rules, and project delivery to ensure consistency and enforceability.
  • Drive continuous improvement across MDM operations, diffing, and issue management processes, increasing automation and shifting from reactive issue resolution to proactive data control.
  • Provide clear, outcome-focused reporting on operational performance, including data supply health, diff position, ticket backlog, and data quality metrics to support decision-making.
Qualifications

You Have:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in data management, data operations, or data architecture within large, complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience owning operational data processes, including data supply pipelines, MDM processing, and issue management frameworks.
  • Experience leading data workstreams within projects or change initiatives, ensuring delivery of data requirements end-to-end.
  • Strong expertise in master and reference data management, data quality frameworks, metadata, and data governance practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira Service Management or equivalent tools for operational workflow and issue tracking.
  • Experience with enterprise data tooling such as Informatica, Collibra, Purview, Alation, or similar platforms beneficial.
  • Advanced SQL and strong hands-on experience working with complex, high-volume datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar tools to support analysis, validation, and automation.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end data flows, including lineage, transformations, integration patterns, and control points.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence business and technology leaders through data-led insights, issue resolution, and delivery of data integrity outcomes across operations and change initiatives.
