Job description

The Data Integration Analyst I is responsible for supporting the transformation, configuration, and ingestion of client data files within Allied's insurance tracking systems. This includes translating client requirements into technical specifications, building and maintaining transformation logic, and assisting with validation and troubleshooting. The role contributes to both the initial implementation and ongoing maintenance of lender data configurations and helps ensure accurate, timely, and production-ready data delivery.Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Advanced Transformation and Configuration Oversight - 35%

  • Lead the design and execution of transformation logic for complex and high-volume client data integrations.
  • Translate contractual requirements and business rules into executable data mapping specifications.
  • Optimize transformation parameters for accuracy, performance, and long-term maintainability.
  • Validate source-to-target logic against field-level expectations and downstream workflows.
  • Create and enforce configuration consistency across import profiles and lender setups.
  • Resolve complex field dependencies and cross-file transformation conditions.
  • Ensure mapping scalability for clients with dynamic structures or multi-branch delivery.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal reviews of logic decisions and data transformation strategy.
  • Conduct detailed mapping audits to identify inconsistencies or potential configuration gaps.
  • Maintain transformation documentation that reflects current standards and applied logic.

Technical Escalation and Root Cause Analysis - 20%

  • Triage escalated technical issues involving ingestion failures, transformation mismatches, and system behavior gaps.
  • Lead multi-layer investigation efforts that cross system configuration, transformation, and compliance logic.
  • Partner with ETL developers and QA to analyze performance anomalies or transformation bugs.
  • Document root causes, contributing conditions, and recommended solutions for team reference.
  • Communicate findings and fixes with affected stakeholders and ensure downstream alignment.
  • Identify patterns in escalated issues and propose structural improvements to reduce recurrence.

  • Lead conversations with clients to confirm technical expectations, logic plans, and configuration assumptions.

  • Review service agreements and ensure logic reflects contract-specific language and compliance terms.
  • Manage documentation of exceptions, overrides, and client-specific logic into intake records and configs.
  • Serve as the primary analyst interface for client data validation and business logic clarification.
  • Ensure stakeholders are aware of key constraints or special conditions that affect configuration design.
  • Maintain alignment with Coordinators, Implementation Managers, and QA to ensure clarity on technical deliverables.
  • Confirm configuration intent with Production Support and Data Operations for long-term viability.
  • Participate in approval cycles for requirements and mapping validation.
  • Escalate misaligned business expectations early in the implementation process.

Documentation and Standards Leadership - 15%

  • Own creation of reusable documentation templates and technical reference guides.
  • Maintain configuration records that track field mappings, overrides, and transformation rules.
  • Create troubleshooting and root cause analysis templates for issue documentation.
  • Drive improvements in the clarity, accuracy, and completeness of internal documentation.

  • Support internal training efforts by documenting newly developed configuration techniques or lessons learned.
  • Recommend updates to intake process, testing cadence, and peer review approaches.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives for tooling, transformation platform improvements, or release process enhancements.
  • Contribute to retrospectives and pilot projects to refine the analyst experience and increase delivery accuracy.
  • Lead discussion of system design constraints during high-impact transformation projects.
  • Help prioritize technical debt and tooling limitations based on analyst perspective and configuration feedback.
  • Support development and QA in the rollout of new tools or enhancements to transformation components.
  • Collaborate on metrics tracking and reporting related to configuration accuracy, rework reduction, and team efficiency.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in data integration, ETL development, or system configuration.
  • Proficient in SQL and ETL platforms (Informatica preferred).
  • Strong understanding of file formats and transformation logic (CSV, fixed-width, XML, JSON).
  • Experience troubleshooting ingestion failures and system setup conflicts.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills, especially with cross-functional partners.
  • Highly analytical, adaptable, and able to manage multiple high-impact issues concurrently.
  • Ability to mentor peers and explain technical concepts and procedures to new team members.
