Job description

Must have 7 years of experience 

  • Familiar with Numerical Controlled Processes, Manual Data Input, Tooling Offsets, Conversation Controllers, etc.
  • Setup and operate large CNC machines such as: lathes, horizontal boring mills & gantry type machining centers and large VTCโ€™s.
  • Experience with controllers such as: Fanuc, Siemens, Acramatic, Cincinnati-Milacron, etc.
  • Familiar with the use of precision measuring instruments: outside/inside micrometers, depth mics, vernierโ€™s, ring gages, plug gages etc.
  • Familiar with threading and the various measuring/gauging requirements
  • Drilling/tapping processes and thread milling
  • Familiar with carbide machining processes
  • Ability to comprehend complex mechanical drawings and blueprints
  • Strong math skills including fractions
  • Machinist or Tool & Die Apprenticeship

Must have experience on:

  • Horizontal Boring Mills, HBMโ€™s will have travel that are in the range of X - 500โ€, Y - 250โ€, Z - 50โ€ and W - 65โ€ they will also have turn tables that are about 10โ€™ square with a load capacity of 100 tons.
  • Vertical Turning Centers, VTCโ€™s will have tables that are roughly 80โ€ in diameter with a 20 ton table capacity. X total travel will be about 160โ€ and Z will have 80โ€ of travel.
