Job description

Roles & Responsibilities
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and data challenges, and develop comprehensive data governance strategies aligned with their specific needs.
• Provide thought leadership in establishing data governance policies, procedures, and frameworks that ensure the effective management, privacy, and security of data assets.
• Lead the Data Governance capability along with the team to build PoVs, Accelerators and support Sales in pitching Data Governance to respective clients
• Provide insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team to inform and drive data strategy and business decisions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data management, reporting, and analytics.
• Oversee the implementation of data governance frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with existing data management practices and systems.
• Lead data governance initiatives, including data classification, data quality management, data lineage, data access controls, and data lifecycle management.
• Advise clients on compliance requirements, and ensure data governance practices are aligned with local and global data regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, business analysts, and legal experts, to foster a culture of data governance awareness and adoption.
• Engage with key stakeholders to promote the value of data governance and its impact on business outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
• Knowledge of Data Governance tools like Collibra, Alation, Informatica, BigID, OneTrust
• Technical knowledge and experience in Alation is highly needed
• In-depth experience of data governance /information management practices, systems and processes including data governance, data modelling, master data management, meta-data management, data quality management
• Proven track record of successfully implementing data governance frameworks for large[1]scale organizations.
• Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and analytics technologies and their relationship with data governance.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with C-suite executives and stakeholders.
• Certifications in data governance or related fields (e.g., CDMP, DCAM, CIPP) will be a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
