A Data Quality Consultant is a professional who specializes in assessing, improving, and maintaining the quality of data within an organization. They analyze data processes, identify inconsistencies or errors, and recommend strategies to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability. These consultants often implement data governance policies, perform data cleansing, and help organizations comply with data standards and regulations. Their work is essential for organizations that rely heavily on data-driven decision making.

To thrive as a Data Quality Consultant, you need a strong understanding of data management principles, data governance, and analytics, often supported by a degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field.
