The purpose of the Gatehouse Attendant (Night) position is to monitor shipping/receiving access control for the security and safety of all personnel and to perform data entry and report distribution to ensure BEK operational efficiencies are met and maintained. Responsibilities include:
  • Review all relevant logs and documentation to ensure daily activities are completed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with all relevant personnel to fulfill duties accurately and efficiently.
  • Support appropriate security procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all BEK personnel.
  • Perform other duties as required by management to ensure operational standards are met and maintained

Note: Normal schedule for this position is 12:45PM - 9:15PM Monday - Friday. You must be able to work this schedule to be considered for this position.
Job Qualifications:
  • 3 months of work-related experience required; or combination of education and experience
  • Food service industry experience preferred
  • Computer and data-entry skills required; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret rules/guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions
  • Basic data entry (10-key by touch) skills
  • Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications
  • Basic math skills, as well as ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Able to work in extreme temperatures (cold and hot)
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task
