How much do data entry commission jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 18, 2026, the average hourly pay for data entry commission in the United States is $19.47, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $16.35 and $21.88 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

A data entry commission-based role typically does not pay $10,000 a month without significant volume or high commissions. Most data entry jobs offer hourly wages or fixed salaries that are below this level, and earning such income usually requires advanced skills, experience, or additional income sources beyond standard data entry positions.

How can I make $2000 a week working from home?

A data entry commission role typically pays based on the amount of work completed, with earnings varying widely; earning $2000 weekly may require high-volume, consistent work, advanced skills, or specialized tasks. To reach this income level, individuals often need to work full-time hours, develop fast and accurate data entry skills, and use tools like spreadsheets or data management software. Building a strong reputation and seeking high-paying projects can also help increase earnings.

What is a Data Entry Commission job?

A Data Entry Commission job typically involves entering, updating, or verifying data in computer systems or databases, with compensation based on the amount of work completed rather than a fixed hourly wage or salary. This means you earn money for each entry or batch of entries you process, incentivizing speed and accuracy. These roles are common in industries that require processing large volumes of information, such as sales, marketing, or administrative sectors. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Data Entry Clerk, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Data Entry Clerk, you need strong attention to detail, fast and accurate typing skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with office software such as Microsoft Excel, databases, and sometimes specialized data entry platforms is typically required. Organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are standout soft skills. These skills ensure data integrity, efficient workflow, and accuracy, which are critical for maintaining reliable records and supporting business operations.

How to know if a data entry job is real?

What is the highest paying data entry job?

The highest paying data entry roles typically involve specialized skills such as medical or legal transcription, or working with advanced data management software. These positions often require additional certifications or experience and can offer higher hourly rates or salaries compared to standard data entry jobs.

What are some typical challenges faced in a Data Entry Commission role, and how can they be managed?

In a Data Entry Commission role, one common challenge is maintaining high accuracy and speed when handling large volumes of information, as errors can impact both earnings and data integrity. Distractions and repetitive tasks can also lead to decreased focus over time. To manage these issues, it's helpful to set up a distraction-free workspace, use keyboard shortcuts, and take regular breaks to stay alert. Additionally, many teams provide supportive supervision and peer collaboration, which can help address questions quickly and reduce mistakes.
