Job Summary:
CooperVision is a leading global manufacturer of contact lenses, dedicated to helping people improve their vision. The Data Analyst 1 role is an entry-level position focused on building foundational data analytics and visualization skills, primarily involving data collection, visual design, and supporting senior analysts in data analysis and reporting tasks.
Responsibilities:
• This role focuses on performing basic data analysis, preparing simple reports and visualizations, working on minor tickets (break/fixes, investigations, etc.), and providing support to senior analysts as needed.
• Additional responsibilities include collecting, organizing, and validating distribution data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with established data quality standards and procedures, and visual design within Tableau Desktop, with the goal of enhancing data storytelling and supporting consistent reporting. Visual design includes rebuilding visuals for straightforward reports or developing templates that help senior analysts deliver standardized reporting.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data collection, data entry, reporting, or analytics support, or
• Associate degree with 1 or more years of relevant experience, or
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, including Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology.
• Relevant experience with data collection or data entry required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data organization and basic analysis functions.
• 0 to 1+ years of experience in SQL (writing simple queries, including joins, filtering, and aggregation).
• Basic understanding of analytics (statistical analysis, pattern recognition, data interpretation, problem-solving).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, SharePoint, etc.)
• Willingness to follow standardized departmental, project management, and IT processes.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
