Description JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: Data Entry Clerk / Reception LTE LOCATION: Red Cliff Reservation, Indian Child Welfare Office WAGE: $18.00/hour; 30 hours per week; 10am - 4:30pm daily SUPERVISOR:Red Cliff Indian Child Welfare Director THIS IS A LIMITED TERM NON-EXEMPT POSITION. JOB SUMMARY: Primary responsibility is to answer telephone, route calls and take messages for all programs within the Indian Child Welfare Department (ICW), provide Resource and Referral and assist with initial client intakes and provide Clerical Assistance and Office duties for the Indian Child Welfare Department. Examples of Duties DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs ICW support and data entry duties. Gathering data collected from all ICW programs.

Data collection maintenance. Maintain an adequate inventory of office supplies and materials for program use, including ordering and completing needed requisitions for office supplies. Answer telephones, route calls to appropriate staff, take messages.

Complete intakes over the phone or in person. Assist with initial contacts. Provide Resource and Referral assistance to clients/community members.

Receive in-coming mail, scan inquiries, and distribute to staff. Update workers master lists. Maintain confidentially.

Participate in other collaborative service meetings as assigned by ICW Director. Assist in the planning and coordinating of community outreach events organized by the ICW Program as assigned by the ICW Director. Attend and participate in community outreach events as assigned by ICW Director.

Clean, neat and professional appearance required. The above duties and responsibilities are not an all-inclusive list but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. The duties and responsibilities will be subject to change based on organizational needs and/or deemed necessary by the supervisor.

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:None Typical Qualifications KNOWLEDGE: Must have knowledge with data entry, computers, secretarial duties, office machines and telephone skills. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of High School Diploma or HSED, required. Minimum of 1 (one) year office experience in a secretarial type position, preferred.

Working knowledge of computers and computer software and other office machines. Ability to maintain accurate and complete records. Ability to follow written and oral instructions and carry through procedures as specified.

Ability to maintain effective and positive working relationship with the public. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information. Ability to be self-motivated and flexible.

Supplemental Information PERSONAL CONTACTS: Daily contact will be made with the ICW Director, Tribal staff, clients, state and local officials on an as needed basis. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds. There will be some bending, lifting and reaching in overhead storage, but mostly sedentary work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: All Tribal Buildings are smoke free. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: The ability to travel and attend meetings and trainings; overnight and out of town, both locally & nationally. The manner in which the employee relates to fellow employees, customers and visitors is considered parallel in importance to technical knowledge and ability.
