Work you'll do

As a Senior Manager on the Insurance Solutions team, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end Guidewire programs across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter, and driving market activation for our Insurance practice. You will:

  • Lead multi-release Guidewire implementations, upgrades, and Guidewire Cloud migrations from inception through hypercare, including environment strategy, release planning, and cutover execution.
  • Define target-state architectures integrating Guidewire with rating, CRM, document management, data platforms, and financial systems using REST APIs, messaging/events, and Guidewire accelerators.
  • Direct solution design and development in Gosu and Java, including product model configuration, business rules, workflows, batch processes, and plugins; enforce coding standards and CI/CD quality gates.
  • Establish and manage non-functional requirements and performance engineering (SLAs, resiliency, scalability, failover, observability), including performance test strategy and tuning.
  • Oversee data conversion and migration (mapping, cleansing, reconciliation) and design reporting/analytics using Guidewire DataHub/InfoCenter or cloud data platforms.
  • Lead market activation efforts for Guidewire services: build pipeline, shape offerings and value propositions, create go-to-market assets, and lead pursuits from qualification through orals and pricing.
  • Build and sustain senior client relationships as a trusted advisor with deep P&C industry knowledge; facilitate roadmap definition across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter to achieve measurable business outcomes.
  • Build and manage blended (onshore/offshore) delivery teams, estimates, roadmaps, and budgets; drive risk/issue management, dependency resolution, and executive stakeholder communications.
  • Own vendor and program governance with Guidewire and third parties; lead solution evaluations, contracting, and Statement of Work negotiations.
  • Drive business adoption: lead backlog refinement, UAT strategy, training, release readiness, and the operating model for production support and DevSecOps.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
  • Minimum 8 years implementing Guidewire with at least 2 full-lifecycle deployments of PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter in production.
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Guidewire configuration and integration using Gosu and Java, including rules, screens, workflows, batch, and plugins.
  • Minimum 3 years leading integration patterns for Guidewire (REST APIs, events/messaging, web services) with systems such as rating, CRM, data platforms, and document management.
  • Minimum 2 years with Guidewire Cloud or major Guidewire upgrades, including DevOps pipelines, environment management, and release governance.
  • Ability to travel 50-75%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Guidewire certifications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, Integration, or Cloud).
  • Experience with cloud and DevOps tooling used for Guidewire (AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/Jenkins, SonarQube, observability platforms).
  • Experience with DataHub/InfoCenter, data migration tooling, and analytics pipelines for underwriting, billing, or claims.
  • Experience implementing ISO or bureau content, rating engines, and product model design for personal or commercial lines.
  • Experience with performance engineering for Guidewire (load testing, tuning, caching, and database optimization).
  • Experience leading global delivery teams and Agile at scale (Scrum/Kanban, SAFe).
