Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced accounting professional to support the Financial Controller in overseeing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic financial initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings at least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Support the Financial Controller in managing day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll coordination
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across all systems

Financial Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis and insights to leadership
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities

Compliance & Controls

  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting documentation

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
  • Support implementation or optimization of ERP/accounting systems
  • Drive best practices in financial reporting and data management
