Role Description
Form Energy is hiring a Data & Systems Technician to support our Operations Sustaining organization. As part of our sustaining team, you will help maintain stable, safe operation of our manufacturing data processes and visualizations, with a strong focus on maintenance of data views and data validation. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!
What you'll do:
  • Maintain and improve operational data systems that enable safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot dashboards, reports, and automated data pipelines used by operations,, engineering, and leadership.
  • Ensure production data is accurate, complete, and readily available for operational decision-making.
  • Support deep-dive data analysis and visualization as required for investigations, process improvement initiatives, and daily factory operations.
  • Partner with manufacturing, quality, engineering, software, and maintenance teams to translate operational needs into scalable data and reporting solutions.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability, automation, and user experience.
  • Create and maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, data structures, and standard operating procedures.

What you'll bring:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent technical experience in Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience working with manufacturing data, industrial systems, or production environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex operational problems using data.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for making factory operations more efficient through technology and data.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Experience working with MES, ERP, SCADA, historians, or other manufacturing information systems is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL and relational databases, and Python or similar scripting languages is a plus.

Where you'll work:
This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV-an easy commute from the city of Pittsburgh, PA. This 550,000-square-foot facility is our hub for high-volume battery production and a leader in the new era of American energy manufacturing.
