Job description

Data Intern

Remote

At Autura, we're revolutionizing the towing and recovery industry with cutting-edge software that makes a real difference for our customers. From towing service providers to local governments, our tools—like Towing Management Systems, ARIES Dispatch, and Impound solutions—are designed to simplify operations, boost safety, and drive success. Joining Autura means being part of a team that's passionate about innovation, collaboration, and making the world a little safer and smarter every day. Ready to help us pave the way?

About the Role

Autura runs critical customer data across several platforms -- Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk, and ThoughtSpot -- and right now those systems don't talk to each other. That's the challenge this internship is built around.

As a Data Analytics Intern, you'll work directly with our team to help stitch that data together into a unified view. That means hands-on work in Snowflake as our data warehouse and ThoughtSpot for reporting, alongside the analysis and project coordination needed to get this off the ground. You'll be a real contributor to a meaningful initiative, not just pulling reports in the background.

This is a good fit if you've had some exposure to working across multiple data systems, enjoy figuring out how disparate pieces connect, and want to build something you can point to when you're done.

This role is a temporary remote internship reporting directly up to our CFO. We are open to 20-40 hours per week for the summer or as a COOP for 6 months.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support the design and buildout of a unified data layer in Snowflake, pulling from Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk, and other sources
  • Help document the current state of data across systems and identify gaps and integration opportunities
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in ThoughtSpot that surface key customer metrics (churn, CLTV, retention trends, support volume)
  • Clean, validate, and organize data from multiple source systems
  • Help develop and track a project plan for the broader data integration initiative
  • Communicate findings to internal stakeholders in a clear, visually appealing, business-ready format

About You

  • Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Comfortable with SQL; Python is a plus
  • Familiar with or curious about tools like Snowflake, ThoughtSpot, Salesforce, NetSuite, or Zendesk -- you don't need experience with all of them, but exposure to stitching data across systems is a strong signal
  • Able to look at a messy data problem and start asking the right questions
  • Proactive, organized, and able to work independently with a distributed team
  • Has examples of prior work -- a project, analysis, or dashboard you built -- that you can walk us through
  • Familiar with AI tools, ideally Claude
