Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)


Job Summary

The Financial Analyst position serves to support financial planning, operational analysis, and strategic decision-making across Atomic Data. This role works closely with our Finance, Operations, and Leadership teams to improve visibility into company performance, strengthen forecasting and reporting processes, and help guide data-informed business decisions.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with attention to detail, systems thinking, and a proactive mindset for improving processes and operational efficiency. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys translating financial and operational data into actionable insights.


Essential Functions

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
  • Develop and maintain financial models related to revenue, staffing, utilization, and profitability
  • Analyze operational and financial performance trends and communicate insights to leadership
  • Partner with business leaders to evaluate project, service line, and client profitability
  • Assist with pricing analysis, margin analysis, and scenario modeling
  • Improve and automate reporting, financial workflows, and data collection processes
  • Help maintain financial documentation, reporting standards, and internal procedures
  • Support audits, reconciliations, and financial compliance activities as needed
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools that improve visibility into key business metrics
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Delivery, Sales, and Leadership teams
  • Protect sensitive financial and business information through strong confidentiality practices
  • Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives across Finance and Operations


Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, consulting, or related analytical work
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
  • Experience working with accounting, ERP, BI, or financial reporting systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience improving workflows, automation, or operational reporting processes preferred
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-moving, consulting-oriented environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy


Preferred:

  • Experience in professional services, consulting, or technology organizations
  • Familiarity with utilization forecasting, resource planning, or project-based financial analysis
  • Experience utilizing data analytics tools in a professional environment
  • Exposure to SaaS metrics, forecasting models, or operational KPIs
