About the Role

The eCommerce & Business Analyst plays a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making across a growing digital commerce organization. These individual combines strong analytical skills with business acumen to identify opportunities, improve operational performance, and support strategic initiatives across eCommerce, product, customer, and commercial functions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex business problems, and can translate data into actionable insights for both operational teams and executive leadership. This role partners cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, operations, customer service, and technology teams to support growth initiatives, optimize performance, and enhance customer experience. Success in this role requires a balance of strategic thinking, technical analytical capability, and strong communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and evolving business environment.

What You'll Do

Business Performance & Executive Reporting

  • Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reporting packages for DexterIndex.com leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Analyze key digital commerce KPIs including: Revenue, Conversion, AOV, Customer acquisition, attachment rates with a focus on growing customer wallet share
  • Build executive-level dashboards and reporting frameworks using Power BI, Excel, GA4, and internal data systems.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for digital commerce initiatives and category performance.

eCommerce & Customer Insights

  • Identify trends and opportunities within customer purchasing behavior, online adoption, dealer activity, and product/category performance.
  • Analyze customer engagement and site behavior data to improve conversion and online customer experience.
  • Support initiatives tied to customer onboarding, re-engagement, and digital adoption growth.

Product, Category & Pricing Analytics

  • Evaluate product and category performance across Dexter’s trailer, axle, suspension, cargo control, towing, and aftermarket product lines.
  • Support pricing analysis, competitive benchmarking, elasticity reviews, and margin optimization initiatives.
  • Analyze inventory, sales, and product availability trends to identify risks and growth opportunities.
  • Assist with new product launches, category expansion opportunities, and assortment optimization.

Operational & Cross-Functional Support

  • Ability to partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, IT, customer service, operations & finance
  • Support development of business cases and ROI models for digital commerce investments and feature enhancements.
  • Help improve data governance, reporting consistency, and analytical processes across the organization.
  • Assist in building scalable reporting structures and KPI scorecards that improve visibility and accountability.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Marketing, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field required.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in business analytics, eCommerce analytics, financial analysis, category management, or commercial operations.
  • Experience supporting digital commerce, B2B eCommerce, distribution, manufacturing, aftermarket, or industrial product businesses strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights and executive-level recommendations.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership visibility.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and data visualization tools with the ability to build scalable dashboards and KPI reporting frameworks.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience using GA4, ERP systems, CRM platforms, and large data sets to drive business decisions.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power Query, DAX, or other data modeling/query tools preferred.
  • Experience with forecasting, financial modeling, budgeting, variance analysis, and ROI/business case development.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce KPIs including conversion rate, AOV, customer acquisition, retention, attachment rates, and digital adoption metrics.

Business & Commercial Acumen

  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify trends, growth opportunities, operational risks, and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Experience analyzing product/category performance, pricing strategy, competitive benchmarking, and inventory trends preferred.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and operational problem solving.
  • Familiarity with customer behavior analysis, online merchandising, and digital customer experience optimization.
