What You Will Do:
Our consultants on the AI and Data Defense and Security team help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data querying and wrangling to data engineering, to data visualization, dashboarding, and business intelligence (BI), to predictive analytics. Our services enable our clients to define their information strategy, enable mission critical insights and data-driven decision making, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve budget justifications and decision-making. This individual will support organizational and mission goals within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This role requires hands on technical expertise and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Design and development of data visualization and dashboard solutions to provide required analytics insights using Power BI
  • Leading and reviewing, data cleaning scripts using tools such as Python
  • Maintain and enhance dashboards, analytics solutions, and reporting tools used in operational and strategic decision-making
  • Focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development
  • Support business development (such as RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses and white papers), internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development

What You Will Need:
  • Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS Public Trust
  • Bachelors Degree
  • ONE (1) or more years of experience in data analytics, data science, business analytics or data engineering

What Would Be Nice to Have:
  • Three (3) years of data analytics experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • Strong UI/UX capabilities for dashboard development
  • Familiarity with PowerApps
  • Familiarity with cloud-based analytics environments (such as, Databricks, Palantir, AWS, Azure, or Google)
  • Experience performing analytics and data transformation using Python and R
  • Ability to gather requirements and present to clients with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and tools for data integration
  • Experience with budget, financial management, and workload modeling
