Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between the Business stakeholders and the Development team members on highly visible Agile software development project
  • Partner with project team in creation of meaningful requirements for both general business needs and specific data needs, including Source-to-Target design documentation
  • Experience backlog grooming / stories. Working in Jira is a plus.
  • Communicate requirements effectively for use by ETL & BI Engineers and QA Test Engineers
  • Verify source data to be used truly supports requirements
  • Assist in analyzing business needs against existing data structures/strategy
  • Develop a strong working relationship with internal business partners to understand their needs
  • Participate in testing and other project work as needed
Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5+ years working in computer science, business or engineering related field
  • 4+ years requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation
  • 3+ years reading logical and physical data models
  • 3+ years working in an Agile software development environment
  • 4+ years writing SQL queries
  • Ability to understand data models, data profiling, and source to target mapping.
  • NoSQL and big data concepts such as Hadoop is a plus
  • Informational understanding of relational databases

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to documented clear and concise descriptions of data elements, codes and other data characteristics for enterprise use
  • Ability to articulate complex business and technical questions/needs in an easily consumable format for people at different levels in the organization
  • User story and requirements analysis background
  • Ability to organize and conduct effective meetings
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Team player who actively collaborates
  • Familiarity with XML schema design is a plus
  • Familiarity with SOA and Canonical model design is a plus
