The Math Coach partners with teachers and school leadership to improve instructional practices and increase student achievement in mathematics while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support elementary teachers in planning and delivering effective, standards-based math instruction.

Provide instructional coaching through classroom observations, modeling lessons, co-teaching, and feedback conferences. Assist teachers with implementing differentiated instruction and intervention strategies to meet diverse student needs. Analyze student assessment data to identify learning gaps and support instructional planning.

Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement school-wide math achievement goals. Facilitate professional development sessions focused on elementary math instruction, curriculum, classroom engagement, and assessment practices. Support the implementation of curriculum pacing guides, instructional resources, and best practices in mathematics education.

Monitor student progress and assist in developing targeted interventions for struggling students. Promote a growth mindset and positive math culture among students and staff. Assist with state testing preparation and academic improvement initiatives.

Maintain ongoing communication with school leadership regarding instructional progress and needs. Participate in staff meetings, leadership meetings, and school events as assigned. Stay current on research-based instructional strategies and trends in elementary mathematics education.

Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed. Ability to actively move throughout classrooms and school buildings. Work Environment The Elementary Math Coach works in a school environment with regular interaction with students, teachers, administrators, and families.
