Job description

PADNOS is a full-service recycling company handling paper, plastic, metals and electronic recycling. We tailor recycling programs for consumer and industrial clients throughout the United States. PADNOS was founded over a century ago and continues to transform the recycling industry. The company has thrived as a family business through four generations and has grown to be a market leader and best in class innovator. 

Position Summary 

Our Small Equipment Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various types of small industrial and construction equipment, including hi-lo trucks, forklifts, sweepers, bobcats, skid steers, and small loaders. This position supports daily operations by assisting with loading, unloading, grading, inspection, purchasing, movement, and transportation of materials while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Schedule

  • Monday - Thursday, Weekends as needed.
  • 7:00pm - 7:00am

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment to load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks or railcars and move materials to designated areas
  • Maintain basic production, inventory, shipment, and equipment maintenance records as required
  • Identify and distinguish between different grades and types of materials
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing loads and assist with material grading when applicable
  • Assist with hand-sorting materials as needed to support yard operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Six months of small equipment operations preferred
  • Safety-oriented with a commitment to safe work practices
  • Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated
