Job description

• Architecting and delivering the future-state Citrix DaaS platform within M&T Bank’s Azure tenant

• Driving innovation to support a modern, secure, cloud-first workforce

• Designing and implementing Citrix Cloud services, including:

o Citrix DaaS

o UberAgent

o Citrix Device Trust and App Protection

• Application containerization, streaming, and optimization for virtual environments

• Developing automation to streamline provisioning, access, entitlements, and lifecycle management

• Designing and delivering platform health, performance, and experience metrics, leveraging APIs, Graph, and Power BI

• Serving as a subject matter expert for Citrix and VDI-related technologies across the organization

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as the senior technical specialist for Citrix and VDI technologies, providing architecture guidance, engineering leadership, and hands-on implementation

• Lead the design, deployment, migration, maintenance, and monitoring of the Citrix DaaS environment in Azure

• Evaluate the existing on‑prem and/or legacy VDI platforms and develop a clear migration and modernization strategy

• Partner closely with Technology management, senior engineers, and support teams to deliver solutions that meet current and future business needs

• Design infrastructure architectures that account for security, scalability, resiliency, performance, and regulatory requirements

• Develop and maintain engineering standards, design documentation, and operational runbooks

• Collaborate with security, networking, identity, and cloud teams to ensure proper integration with Azure, Entra ID, and on‑prem systems

• Coordinate vendor engagements with Citrix and related partners as needed

• Mentor and coach junior engineers; review and provide guidance on designs, changes, and implementations

• Independently engage with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, assess constraints, and recommend solutions

• Promote and follow industry best practices for cloud, VDI, and endpoint virtualization technologies

• Identify risks, performance issues, or control gaps and escalate appropriately

• Ensure compliance with M&T Bank risk management, regulatory standards, and internal controls

• Support audit activities and ensure timely remediation of findings

• Complete other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required:

• Minimum of 8 years of combined education and professional experience in infrastructure engineering, systems design, or architecture

• Strong understanding of infrastructure and system lifecycle management, vendor best practices, and IT service management

• Demonstrated experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale virtual desktop or application delivery platforms

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

• Advanced experience with Citrix technologies, including DaaS and Citrix Cloud services

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including:

• Virtual networking and hybrid connectivity

• Identity and access integration

• Security and monitoring

• Proven ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into well-structured, high-quality solutions

• Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Experience working with vendors and integrating third-party solutions

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide technical decisions

• Process-oriented, logical thinker with strong attention to detail

• Deep knowledge of server, client, virtualization, and cloud-based technologies

• Ability to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision
