Contract Manager – Safety Watcher Program (PSEG)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee the Safety Watcher Program supporting PSEG substations and related facilities. This role is responsible for managing contract execution, staffing, compliance, reporting, and coordination of safety personnel across multiple project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the PSEG Safety Watcher contract, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, and safety requirements

• Develop and implement program execution plans, including staffing, reporting, and performance tracking

• Oversee staffing and deployment of Safety Watchers, Gate Access Watchers, and supervisory personnel

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NERC-CIP (as applicable), and

PSEG safety procedures

• Serve as primary liaison with PSEG stakeholders and project teams

• Lead meetings, coordinate schedules, and manage project communications

• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, including progress, budget tracking, and staffing metrics

• Manage RFIs, documentation, and contract administrative functions

Qualifications

• 5+ years of contract or program management experience in utilities, construction, or industrial safety

• Experience managing field operations and multi-site staffing programs

• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations

• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., utilities, energy, or infrastructure projects) preferred

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with utility companies such as PSEG

• Familiarity with NERC-CIP requirements

• PMP certification or equivalent

• Experience in substation or energized construction environments

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends as required.
