Role & Responsibilities:

The responsibilities and duties described here are representative of those a Group Fitness instructor must perform. This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned.

General Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an Instructor and provide members an amazing Group Fitness experience.
  • Engage in marketing and social media outreach and participate in events to gain a loyal following of Chelsea Piers Fitness members.
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador for Chelsea Piers Fitness.
  • Provide excellent customer service, externally and internally.
  • Participate in special and member events as scheduled, virtually and in-person.
  • Maintain operations protocols in classes.
  • Complete all administrative requirements associated with class preparation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of teaching fitness classes.
  • CPR & AED Training.
  • At least 2 years of teaching group fitness classes preferred.
  • High-energy, personable and passion for fitness with a team-first mentality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Teams.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Reliability.

Work Schedule:

  • Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule including weekend, holiday and early morning/midday/late evening weekday availability.
