Your Role:

Responsible for coordinating the Personal Training Program and continuing to grow and expand the program. Responsible for participating in all daily fitness center operations in order to ensure optimal performance of the Fitness Center. Interacts with members and program participants to deliver safe, effective, and enjoyable exercise classes in accordance with the objectives and policies set forth by Elevation Health. Provides excellent leadership, up-to-date quality instruction, and high energy motivation to members and participants in order to maximize participation, outcomes, and customer satisfaction.


DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assist with day to day operations of the fitness center

  • Fitness center orientations โ€“ memberships & tours

  • Group exercise class instruction, up to 4 classes per week

  • Elevation Live class, 1 per month

  • Group Exercise Coordination

    • Manage and supervise group fitness program

    • Manage all instructors - ensure paperwork and certs are current

    • Create group exercise schedule monthly - printed schedule and update online schedule

    • Communicate schedule and classes with other staff and instructors regularly

    • Responsible for assisting with coverage/subs as needed

    • Complete evaluations on each instructor bi-annually

    • Assist with the hiring of new instructors, including auditions

    • Train instructors - complete Elevation In-House Group Exercise Training Manual

    • Submit Group Exercise check request monthly and end of month

    • Track attendance and statistics and be able to report on program monthly

    • Create surveys to send to members to understand needs/wants

  • Equipment

    • Help with equipment upkeep and inventory

    • Place equipment repair request

    • Maintaining equipment repair logs

    • Daily checks of fitness equipment standards

  • Aid in purchasing supplies for the fitness center group fitness related

  • Incentive Programming

  • Health Education and Promotion

  • Performing safety checks to maintain a safe work environment


OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Fitness workouts

  • Emergency protocols

  • Attending meetings if manager cannot be present


SCHEDULE:

40 hours Monday - Friday: 5:30am-1:30pm, 6:45am - 2:45pm, 11am - 7pm, 1pm-9pm



What we are looking for:

  • Education:

    • CPR and AED - required

    • BS in Exercise Science or related field - preferred

    • Personal Training Certification - preferred

  • Experience:

    • Previous experience in personal training and teaching group exercise preferred

  • Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills, Google Suite, and Canva
