About The Role Peraton is hiring a Computer Network Support Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Fort Meade, Maryland. As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As a Computer Network Support Systems Engineer you will support a customer computer network operations organization by providing systems engineering and project management expertise to assist with the following activities: * Perform analysis and provide recommendations pertaining to proposed AI/ML architecture designs and proposals
* Work with organizations to coordinate and help shape interactions on AI/ML deployments with the customer's enterprise
* Coordinate activities to assess program management planning, execution, and reporting processes for various projects that include software, sustainment, and advanced technology initiatives
* Assist with operating in an agile development process including maintaining agile development tools such as Jira and Confluence
* Develop new processes, as needed, and ensure that the processes are reliable, repeatable, and sustainable
* Assist in defining process improvement strategies and lessons learned
* Document existing processes #AJCM
#MDFSP Qualifications Individual Capabilities/Experience Required: LU * Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 6 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable
* Familiarity with Jira and Confluence agile development tools
* Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired: * Excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work in fast paced environments
* Systems Engineering, process engineering, and project management experience
* AI/ML experience, especially relating to LLM-based systems
* Familiarity with working in an agile development environment
* Experience with Python * Cyber/IT helpdesk experience
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan. Details Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
