Job Description:

The Regional Welding Process Trainer supports growth and capability across the region by enhancing distributor performance and strengthening technical proficiency among channel partners, internal sales teams, educators, and end‑user customers. This role combines deep welding process expertise with dynamic, high‑impact training delivery to build confidence, skill, and advocacy for ITW welding solutions.

By providing consistent, engaging learning experiences and supporting strong participant engagement, this position helps enhance customer‑facing effectiveness and increase preference for ITW products. Success in this role requires technical mastery, exceptional facilitation skills, and the ability to influence and educate diverse audiences with clarity and credibility. Qualified candidates will live in or near Phoenixville, PA in order to support business needs. Business location address is 100 Schell Lane, Phoenixville, PA 19460.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Training & Sales Enablement

  • Support the implementation of annual and regional training initiatives alongside Channel Sales Managers and regional sales teams.
  • Assist in maintaining an annual training schedule that includes welding processes, product lines, technologies, and market‑specific applications.
  • Coordinate with Channel Sales Managers and distributor teams to support enrollment in regional training programs by sharing information about available offerings and assisting with participation logistics.
  • Support distributor engagement through representative onboarding, value proposition reinforcement, and consistent program adoption.
  • Participate in joint calls and co‑present training sessions with distributor partners.

Training Delivery

  • Deliver engaging technical training through in-person instruction, hands-on demonstrations, webinars, virtual sessions, and e-learning.
  • Tailor training methods to diverse learning styles and experience levels.
  • Facilitate technology seminars, segment-focused events, and Train-the-Trainer programs at distributor and ITW locations.
  • Present cross‑brand, application‑focused solutions that demonstrate how ITW technologies work together to address distributor and end‑user needs.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Serve as a regional technical advisor on welding processes knowledge and ITW welding products.
  • Support the development and application of technical expertise across the full ITW portfolio to help drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with ITW Welding divisions to train distributors, educators, and industrial customers.

Training Material Development

  • Partner with Product Management, Marketing, and Sales to create industry-leading training materials.
  • Develop multimedia learning tools including presentations, videos, digital resources, and instructional guides.
  • Integrate solutions across ITW Welding divisions to create unified, segment‑focused training content that supports solution selling for distributors.

Training Coordination & Customer Experience

  • Work with regional sales teams to identify training needs and help coordinate course scheduling.
  • Deliver a professional end-to-end customer learning experience.
  • Maintain training facilities, equipment, and safety standards.

Tracking, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain CRM and LMS records of training sessions, participation, and outcomes.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and integrate feedback to enhance programs.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and collaborate on new training initiatives.
  • Continue developing facilitation, storytelling, and executive presence skills.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of hands‑on welding experience with proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW; CWI preferred.
  • Experience in training, sales enablement, technical instruction, or field‑based demonstrations; laser/automated welding exposure is a plus.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching, and influence skills with excellent communication and collaboration.
  • Technical aptitude with solid understanding of ITW products, processes, and technologies; CRM/LMS proficiency.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and independent work skills; tactful and effective in navigating differing viewpoints.
  • Familiarity with instructional design and adult learning principles preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 40–60% throughout the region.

Compensation Information:

The compensation package offers a competitive annual salary of $100,000 to $115,000. This range is dependent on the geographic location, the candidate’s qualifications, and prior experience. We are committed to maintaining equitable and competitive salaries.
